The Topeka Zoological Park is a top destination for visitors to Topeka. The zoo has always been in the Top 20 Kansas attractions. Nearly half of the visitors to the zoo come from outside Shawnee County.

The Zoo Tomorrow project is a unique partnership between the City of Topeka and Friends of the Topeka Zoo. Both organizations are committed to furthering enhancements and additions to the Topeka Zoo that will significantly increase the size of the animal collection. Visitors will appreciate the variety of animals added to the zoo and the educational opportunities provided as each new animal is introduced. Topeka is a better place to live or visit thanks to the zoo and the educational opportunities it provides for young and old alike … and the contributions it makes to conservation efforts.

The Zoo Tomorrow campaign will position the zoo to continue to be a prominent destination in our community. Thanks to a shared vision with the City of Topeka and FOTZ, the zoo will have new and enhanced exhibits and more animals for visitors to enjoy.
